skateboard designs for girls

I'm a girl and I just started high school. I decide to start skateboarding. I have a question though.. . When I was looking for skate shoes, which were for men. Are skate shoes for girls only for reasons of fashion or are designed specifically for skateboarding? Skate Shoes Are boys better than girls skate shoes? No girl skaters skate shoes wear rate when skateboarding?
All the skate shoes are designed for skateboarding. I would go to vans and ask employees if they skate shoes for women. And obviously they will. Clearly there are many different skate shoes and some are good some of them are bad. Hope this helps.
